Brett is an experienced litigator who has handled cases at both the trial and appellate level throughout the state of Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami and Tallahassee and in over 37 counties.  He has also handled cases in Federal Court in both Florida and Ohio.  Outside of the state, Brett has major market experience from his years of representing clients in Los Angeles, San Francisco and throughout Southern California. 

His practice at the firm focuses on Real Estate Law, Homeowners Association and Condominium Association Law, Insurance Disputes and Personal Injury.  Brett takes an innovative approach to legal representation which combines the use of cutting-edge technology, with his extensive experience over a diverse range of states and major markets, to provide his clients with the representation they deserve.  This approach has been forged through the cases Brett has litigated during his career and the clients he has represented. 

Specifically, Brett has handled hundreds of cases concerning Homeowners Association and Condominium Association Law at both the trial and appellate levels, in numerous counties and every major city in Florida.  As a result, Brett has invaluable, unique and vast experience in this area of law.  Brett’s extensive track-record in Homeowners Association and Condominium Association Law, is derived from and greatly enhanced by, his background in real estate law, where he has represented clients in both transactions and disputes, across a broad range of markets, including Florida, California, Oregon, Nevada, Nebraska and Missouri.  In this capacity, he has assisted his clients with acquisitions, purchases and sales, commercial leasing, title issues, covenant and zoning disputes, lawsuits against local government entities, issues related to community development districts and in approval processes before various governmental boards.  During this time, his clients have been as diverse as his experiences as he has represented developers, community associations, owners, sellers, buyers, tenants, property management companies, real estate agents and brokers, and general contractors and subcontractors.  

Brett's practice also consists of representing clients in Insurance Disputes, Personal Injury cases and general litigation.  Brett's experience in these areas of law includes handling cases of wrongful death, premises liability, automobile and motorcycle accidents, boating injuries and accidents and property damage.  In addition, he has handled class-action construction defect cases and multi-million dollar commercial disputes involving business entities and/or their shareholders. 

Brett focuses on establishing a long-term relationship with each of his clients that is built on trust and transparency and which strengthens his clients over time. 

Some of Brett’s notable and recent accomplishments include:

Commercial Litigation: In 2015, obtained favorable settlement for client in franchise related lawsuit pending in multiple jurisdictions, including federal courts in Florida and Ohio.

Commercial Litigation: In January of 2015, successfully defended appeal: 2nd District Court of Appeal affirmed an award of treble damages that  was previously entered by the trial court in favor of the client in a civil theft / construction defect lawsuit. 

Condominium Law: Achieved 2.4 million dollar settlement on behalf of client in multi-party multi-unit dispute.

Homeowners Association Law: Successfully litigated case against the City of Plantation and recovered property worth over $350,000 for client.
